About the event

Help us tackle woody invasive plants and manage winter vine growth throughout Forty Oaks. We’ll focus on cutting back privet sprouts, removing smaller woody invasives, and clearing vine regrowth from young trees. This seasonal stewardship work helps protect the forest’s health and prepares the preserve for spring restoration efforts. Please bring a water bottle and, if you have them, garden gloves or small hand tools. We’ll provide tools and gloves for anyone who needs them.

What To Bring:

  • Water bottle

  • Gloves (if you have them)

  • Small hand pruners or snips, loppers, folding hand saw. (optional)

  • Wear long sleeves + closed-toe shoes
