About the event

Join Friends of Forty Oaks for a family-friendly birdhouse building workshop led by The Splinter Group. Participants will learn how to build nesting boxes that support local bird species while gaining hands-on woodworking experience in a welcoming, community setting.

Each registration includes materials to build two birdhouses — one to take home and one to be installed at Forty Oaks Nature Preserve. No prior woodworking experience is required. The $35 registration fee covers all supplies.
